Areas of support

Support for real-life needs

Seven areas of financial and practical assistance for the clergy of the Diocese, their wives and their children.

Our main areas of support

The Fund’s areas of assistance address the everyday and exceptional needs of clergy and their families: pensions, salary support and insurance, emergency assistance, care for children and widowed clergy wives, and continuing education for clergy.

Pension provision

Support after retirement, including supplementing pension provision.

Salary subsidies

Help with clergy salaries where local parish provision is limited.

Medical insurance

Help with the costs of medical insurance for clergy and their families.

Emergency assistance

Support in cases of illness, death and exceptional circumstances that create urgent need.

Birth and medical treatment of children

Help with costs connected with the birth and medical treatment of clergy children.

Education of clergy children

Help with the education costs of clergy children.

Widowed matushkas and children

Care for widowed matushkas and children after the repose of a clergyman.

Life insurance for clergy

Help with suitable life insurance and its premiums to provide longer-term protection for clergy families.

Clergy education and development

Support for continuing education and professional development of clergy during ministry.

Each request is considered individually

Consideration depends on the person’s circumstances and the Fund’s resources. These areas are not a promise of payment or insurance cover. The Fund is not an insurer; help with insurance costs is considered separately.

Do you need support?

The initial procedure provides for an application from the rector through the dean. You may also send the Fund your contact details and a brief description of the need through the website, so that the next steps can be clarified.
